I must say that I was a bit disappointed this year, perhaps I had high expectations for the 15th anniversary show. The show changed venue this year, it went back to the Direct Energy Building. I spoke with show the manager and there were a few good reasons why the venue was changed. In my opinion the show lacked energy this time around. Now I am speaking strictly as a photographer at the show of course. Here’s a link for feedback, if you were at the show let them know how they did.
There wasn’t much to shoot, I spoke with many other photographers amateur and professional and the consensus was it fell short. I also spoke with a few guests both singles and couples and it to wasn’t too exciting for them.
The fee at the door was $25 for the day and $35 for the weekend. A couple of the guests said they paid $25 to shop, and nothing the vendors had to over was much different then what they could get if they went to a sex shop. For me of course it was worth the $25 dollars, there we a few beautiful women to shoot, but had I purchased the weekend pass and I have in previous years, I would have been more disappointed.
There wasn’t even a fashion show or anything like that. I got more photos at car shows. For example at the Megaspeed Car Show there was a best butt and a bikini contest and at Importfest there was a bikini and lingerie contest. I know this show isn’t put together for amateur photographers but, we come out in numbers and we bring our friends and life partner with us. Food and drinks aren’t cheap and something always gets purchased, which helps the vendors.
Would I go again? yes of course, there’s only two sex shows in Toronto per year.
This was my favourite part of the show, there was a crowd around the Oasis Aqualounge booth. Thanks ladies!
Fionna Flauntit of Great Canadian Burlesque
Then there were two…
Calendar Figherfighter’s pose with the lovely ladies
Then there was three…
There was an erotic art section, were artists showed there work, some on live models.
Phoenix Simone paints on a base for MagicFinaga
This is how it ended up looking like
Jessica Gorlicky or Jessgo
Marnie Grundman worked on a body cast
Headlining the main stage, Roxie D’Lite put on and amazing display of talent and sexiness.
Esther De Ville warmed up the crowd for Roxie. She was great as well.
Some very fit men from HIM Promotions also rocked the main stage
Show guest contests are always fun, second favourite thing I like about the sex show. Couple volunteer to come up on stage to win prizes. They have no idea what they will be asked to do, but they come. This contest was to win a trip to a Hedonism Resort in Jamaica.
