Well if you didn’t know this was NBA All Star Weekend In Toronto, then you just woke up from a coma or something like that. Although I don’t follow the NBA I certainly know the passion that exists for basketball in this city. I headed downtown camera in hand and so bundled up, I could barely raise my arms to shoot. Destination Thompson Hotel.
Hotel staff waited behind closed doors to keep warm in between guest arrivals. Hotel staff were great.
Due to the cold people just sped past us into cabs and limos. Toronto Police were on hand to ensure everyone was safe.
Here are some more fashionable winter wear
That and the fact I was shaking because of the cold so much, getting a shot in focus was as hard as it was to get one of these giants to look my way or even stop to sign an autograph for their frozen fans. Many of the players just zoomed by not even a glance at their fans. Booo Hoo
However a few stopped and made their young fans extremely happy.
but this guy didn’t
Minutes after I arrived the red carpet got a little Blackish, Funny man Anthony Anderson walked out and greeted fans. I asked him for a smile and he obliged.
He said wait, I be back and when he returned 1 minute later he had signed ball caps for fans. I was too excited taking photos I didn’t stick my hand out for one, but I did pose with him for a photographer, so somewhere out there is a pic of Anthony and a guy so bundled up because Winter came.
Ok, she’s not a player but had really cool shoes and looked great.
So this guy gets out of a taxi, walks towards the Hotel. Umm he looks familiar, I’m thinking. As he gets to the door and pulls off his hoodie, Damn, I was too late. Can you tell who it is?
What goes in must come out, I just hope I don’t freeze to death before he does.
Jaden Smith???, Jesus I almost pull a few muscles to get this shot but I wasn’t him.
Hey, I was almost frozen when he came out.
“Touch’em all Joe” someone yelled behind me. Joe Carter just gave him a quiet thumbs up as he walked out of my frame.
